NW Total worked with the client to design, manufacture, test and commission four Modular Active Effluent Treatment Plants (MAETPs) for deployment across four UK sites.
Designed to support the filtration and treatment of active effluent water, the systems use Ion Specific Media to enable the removal of higher activity waste, including caesium, allowing treated water to be discharged through existing site infrastructure.
NW Total supported the project throughout the design and manufacturing process, including quality planning, design for manufacture, procurement, fabrication and Factory Acceptance Testing. A generic modular design was developed to meet the requirements of all four sites.
Designed for Deployment
Each module was housed within a specially designed shipping container, providing a transportable, ‘plug and play’ solution that minimised installation requirements on site.
NW Total also supplied the interconnecting pipework and hoses required to connect the three modules and complete each treatment system.
